Semi-annual update 7 – March to August 2019

Management meetings

Management meetings took place as follows:

  • Spain, Wednesday 13 March 2019 (secondments, design phase update, final conference planning, deliverables)

  • Netherlands, Friday 5 July 2019 (secondments, design phase update, final conference planning, deliverables, sustainability)

Sustainability

The consortium has started to look at more ways to sustain the project activities from March 2020 onwards. IPR and licensing options for prototypes created during the project are now being discussed.

Future projects, including national and European funding streams, are being considered in more detail. In particular, a former researcher on the project is interested in applying for a Marie Sklodowska-Curie research fellowship hosted by a member of the consortium, to follow on from existing project activities.

Sustainability

The consortium is working on an IP agreement which will allow an assigned partner to license prototypes for production and eventual commercialisation. The consortium is also continuing to look at future funding to support network activities and to allow further evaluation and development of the prototypes developed within the project.

UoW has applied to the Research Executive Agency’s Dissemination and Exploitation Booster scheme. If successful, the consortium will receive support with a post-project business plan and advice on commercialisation.

Final Report

Preparation started for the final support, to be submitted by the consortium by 29 April 2020. This has included an in-depth review of all supporting evidence in preparation for archiving and audit, as well as updates to the participant portal and Sygma to ensure data accuracy.
